Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology has agreed to set up a research lab called e-Yantra Lab — a Robotics and Embedded Systems Lab — in association with IIT-Bombay. Each department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories to provide hands-on learning experience. The labs are furnished with the latest hardware, software, and instruments to support both curriculum requirements and advanced research activities.
SRIT fosters a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship through dedicated smart classrooms and technology-enabled learning spaces. Twenty-six classrooms are equipped as smart classrooms with LCD projectors, cordless microphones, amplifiers, cameras, speakers and UPS. An EDUSAT hall enables live two-way interactive audio-video lectures by expert faculty from IIT and Anna University, bridging the gap between classroom learning and frontier research.
The college has planned playground facilities for all outdoor and indoor games. The Department of Physical Education is headed by Dr. P. Velusamy. Students have excelled in various inter-college competitions. Recent achievements include Anna University Zone 10 — Ball Badminton Women Runners-Up, Table Tennis Men Runners-Up, Men’s Football Third Place, Table Tennis Women Third Place, Women’s Basketball Fourth Place, and KGISL Trophy Kabaddi Tournament Men’s Third Place (all 2024).
Institution has exclusive hostels for girls and boys within the campus. Food items are prepared and served hygienically. The hostel is facilitated with Wi-Fi facility, indoor games, gym etc. 24 x 7 ambulance service is available for the needy apart from a dispensary which functions during evening. In addition, other facilities work mentioning includes treated hygienic water, stationeries, Power backup etc. Staff quarters with round the clock power back up facility are available in the campus for out station staff members. Residential wardens are allotted with individual rooms in the respective hostels.
The College has 5 buses for Conveyance. The buses ply to several destinations located at the outskirts of the city.
